Harry looked around when he got to King's Cross. He was now alone, with his new owl Hedwig and the rest of his school supplies. In his hand was his ticket, but it didn't make any sense. Platform nine and three quarters? But... How is that possible? Harry wondered. Even nine and a half seemed strange, but three-quarters was even weirder.
At last, he found platform nine... and then ten. Nine... Ten... Nine... Ten... He walked back and forth between the two, looking up at the signs. May be if he stood three-quarters of the way between the signs that said nine and ten... But then he was standing in ten's platform. How could be be between the two? Almost losing hope, he continued walking around King's Cross, keeping close to the nine and ten platforms, hoping to see someone who looked like they would be going to Hogwarts too.

Pansy had a trolly with her luggage on it she saw a boy with an owl in his trolly and knew at first that he was another wizard he looked quite confused, she turned to her parents an kissed them goodbye and walked over to him she looked at him in the eyes and smiled. "Im guessing your trying to get through to hogwarts express, you just run through the middle"Said quite happily she was excited as she was going to see Draco quite soon and hadnt seen him for a while, she turned her trolly facing the wall and then budged over a bit. "Look you go first and ill follow"She told the boy not asking his name as at the time it didnt seem important.

Harry noticed someone else with a trolly. He smiled back at her, glad that she was offering to help him. He was even more glad that she was another student going to Hogwarts. Most of the muggles around him gave him weird looks and he wasn't very eager to ask them for directions until it got very close to eleven o'clock. "Yeah, I am. Er... Thanks," he said to her. He wanted her to go first so he could see how she did it, but it seemed simple enough. "Just run at the platform," he mumbled. He turned to her again. "I guess I'll see you on the other side." Then, he turned towards the wall that was in the middle of the two platforms and started to walk very quickly towards it. Just sprinting into a run would be too obvious, but by the time he was very close to the wall, he was in a good run. He closed his eyes right before reaching the wall, suddenly wondering why he had followed her advice. What if she just wanted a good laugh to see him and all his belongings sprawled on the ground? Before he knew it, though, he was in front of the Hogwarts Express. There were students running between their friends, parents and the train. Harry took a few steps forward, not wanting to have the girl crash into him when she came through.

Hermione was on the other side, nervously looking at the train. She had to get on some time or other. Didn't she? Of course she did. But somehow she had this strange sick feeling in her stomach and wasn't looking too forward to embarking on such a journey now. Would they hate her there? Would she ever make friends? RElax, Hermione, she thought to herself and looked down at the ground. You can do this. This is nothing. Just another year at school, right? A whole new school with magic and who knows what else.
That was the scary part. but she had studied all summer and knew everything there was to know about spells and wizardy and being a good witch. She just hadn't had the chance to actually put into play. She gripped onto the cart nervously and gulped back an urge to lose her breakfast and made herself move towards the hogwarts express, her first train ride ever.

Up ahead was a girl who looked quite nervous at being in front of the Hogwarts Express. May be she lived with muggles too. Most people weren't that nervous and were chatting with their friends, but there were a few young people who looked nervous. Harry didn't bother waiting for the nice girl who helped him to walk through the wall and approached the girl. He quickly tried to move some of his hair over his scar before he was close enough for her to notice. "Hey, are you new too?" he asked her. "Er, I'm Harry." Harry didn't want to say his last name just in case she also knew who he was.

She blinked, not exactly sure what to think of this weird boy with glasses who had just come up to her. She had to get onto the train sooner or later. Maybe he would give her a good excuse to. "Uh...hi..Hermione. Yeah, I'm new. First year at hogwarts." She beamed proudly, though felt more sick at the idea of being new at another school. She couldn't afford to have people hate her here but then again she had to do well and prove herself. She couldn't get behind in her work when she was going to do so much with her education. It just wasn't an option to get too close.

"Er, me too..." Harry was glad to go to Hogwarts instead of being stuck with the Dursleys again, but he wasn't exactly proud of going to Hogwarts. He didn't exactly know it's reputation or anything about it except that his parents went there. "I guess we should be getting on the train, then," he said, unable to think of anything else to say. The girl didn't seem like someone he could just talk about anything to. Hedwig made a sound and Harry took it to meaning that she agreed. Of course, she was only itching to get out of her cage, but Harry wanted her to agree with him.

"Yeah..sure..train. Don't want it to leave without us." Hermione nodded and moved towards the train, easily stepping through the door. She was still taking deep breaths, trying to control herself. This was crazy. How could she possibly expect to fit in at Hogwarts when it had been a complete surprise to be a witch in the first place. She had never even heard of the place and she had obsessively studied it once she got the letter. The books had been hard to find but she got them. One at a time. It was worth it, wasn't it? She would be better than ever and there would be no distractions.
"It's nice to meet you, Harry." She smiled though, trying not to put him off.

"Your welcome by the way"She said with a smirk and then turned to the girl. "You, your a mudblood arnt you, well i wont be asociating with the likes of a muggle sprog... i unlike you am a pure blood and my family are respectful wizards... i will be friends with the likes of the malfoys!"She laughed and looked at the two miggles. "Like fish in a barrel really"She laughed again and pushed past the girl and looked at the boy. "I would choice your friends carefully you don want to be seen with muggle bloods nothing but trouble they we not meant to be part of out world really, i'll see you around sometime... im nice really"She said and walked past them to a group of boys.

"Yeah, that wouldn't be good," Harry tried to laugh, but it just came out awkwardly. He never at any friends when he lived with the Dursleys since Dudley turned everyone against him. Making friends was never really an option there since Dudley would beat them up eventually, so Harry found himself to be quite new at meeting new people and having the possibility of becoming friends with them. "It's nice meeting you too."
Just then the girl who had helped him out appeared. She didn't look too happy that he had wakled away from her instead of waiting for her to appear from the other side of the wall. She had seemed so nice before, but now she was quite a different person. Harry was disgusted by the way she treated Hermione. Even though Harry didn't like Hermione too much, that didn't give the 'helpful' girl the right to treat her that way. Mudblood? Harry didn't even understand half of what she was saying. How could she tell that so much was wrong with Hermione if she didn't even meet her? Before Harry talked to her, she seemed fine. When he did talk to her, he found that she was a little boring, but he wouldn't yell at her about that. How can she be a muggle if she's going to Hogwarts, he wondered. The girl didn't make any sense to him, but he didn't want to get on her bad side just yet. There was no time to get into a big arguement at the moment. They had to get on the train very soon. "I think I can figure out who's a good friend or not." Harry wouldn't call Hermione a friend, really, but he also didn't like the other girl trying to tell him what to do. Dudley always made sure that Harry didn't have any friends and he wasn't going to let that happen again. Harry would choose his friends by himself and wouldn't again be forced into any friendships or lack of friendships. "Yeah, I'll see you..." Harry didn't quite know what to think of the girl. There was almost two sides of her. I'm sure you are, he thought. Harry didn't think that she was nice at all, or at least she wasn't nice to everyone.

Mudblood? She had been moving to the train when she heard the insult. She didn't know what it meant but it didn't sound nice either. "A what? yeah..my parents are muggles. there's nothing wrong with that. And I'm sure he's much more decent than you are." She said, biting her lip nervously. She was sure the boy was much better than the other girl who she didn't know. But apparently those with magic in their family weren't supposed to be around her kind. That made her upset. How could she have possibly known this?
"You're just..mean and a biggot."
